Protecting Your Personal Information in Virtual Earring Try-On
Last Updated: January 31, 2026
1. Types of Information We Collect
- User-Uploaded Images: Portrait photos you upload for virtual try-on, which may include facial features (ear position, facial shape, skin tone, jawline, cheek contour, nose shape, eye position), hairstyle details, and other personal appearance characteristics.
- Facial Data (Processed): AI-extracted facial feature data related to earring matching, including:
- Ear area coordinates and contour data (to position earrings accurately);
- Facial shape classification data (round, oval, square, heart-shaped, etc.);
- Skin tone RGB value data (to match earring metal/color tones);
- Hairstyle coverage of ear area (to adjust earring display effect);
- Face proportion data (to optimize earring size matching).
- Account Information: Email address, username, and profile details provided during registration.
- Usage Data: App interaction data, including try-on history, preferred earring styles, and device information (e.g., OS version, screen resolution).
- Payment Data: Billing information for premium subscriptions (processed through third-party payment providers).
2. Purposes of Information Use
- Deliver and optimize the virtual try-on service:
- Identify earring-wearing areas on uploaded portraits via AI;
- Analyze facial features and personal style to generate matching earring recommendations;
- Render and generate customized earring preview photos;
- Support saving and exporting generated earring photos to user devices.
- Maintain and secure your account, and provide customer support.
- Improve App functionality through analysis of usage patterns and user feedback (using aggregated, non-identifiable facial feature data to optimize AI algorithms).
- Process payments for premium subscriptions and send transaction notifications.
- Send service updates, feature announcements, and relevant marketing communications (with your consent).
3. Third-Party Data Processing
Celi uses trusted third-party services to support App functionality:
- Cloud Storage Providers: Store user images and facial data in encrypted, secure cloud servers located in the United States (California) and Singapore. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Payment Processors: Handle subscription payments without retaining full financial details.
- Analytics Tools: Collect anonymous usage data to improve App performance (no personal identifiers or original facial data are shared).
All third parties are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes specified by Celi. No third party is authorized to access or use your facial data for any purpose other than providing the agreed-upon services to Celi.
4. Information Sharing Scenarios
We will not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information (including facial data) to third parties except in the following cases:
- With your explicit consent (e.g., sharing try-on results to social media, where only the generated earring photos are shared, not raw facial data);
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to valid requests from law enforcement, or protect our legal rights (disclosure will be limited to the minimum necessary data);
- To our contracted cloud storage and AI processing service providers, who only access facial data to perform their functions on our behalf (under strict confidentiality and data protection agreements, and are prohibited from using the data for their own purposes);
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your facial data may be transferred as part of the transaction (the acquiring party will be bound by this Privacy Policy).
We do not share your identifiable facial data with advertisers, marketers, or other third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data:
- End-to-end encryption for image uploads, facial data processing, and storage.
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of our systems and third-party service providers.
- Access controls that limit employee access to personal information (including facial data) on a need-to-know basis, with multi-factor authentication for all authorized access.
- Automatic deletion of user images and raw facial data 90 days after your last App use, unless you opt to retain them (you can adjust this setting in App preferences). Aggregated, non-identifiable facial feature data (used for algorithm optimization) will be retained indefinitely but cannot be linked back to individual users.
6. User Data Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information (including facial data):
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data (including facial data) we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or modify inaccurate account information (facial data is processed in real-time and cannot be corrected, but you may delete it and re-upload new images).
- Deletion: Request permanent removal of your account and all associated data (including images and facial data) at any time.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Opt out of marketing communications at any time, or revoke consent for facial data processing (revocation will result in inability to use the virtual try-on service).
- Data Portability: Request export of your generated earring photos and account information (excluding raw facial data) in a machine-readable format.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at Celi@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within 15 business days.
7. Children's Privacy Protection
Celi is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information (including facial data) from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete all related images and facial data. Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal of their child's information.
8. Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via App notification or email, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
